Unlike other years, where there is usually a considerable amount of Gemini in the sky, the astral landscape currently is filled with Taurus and Aquarius. Many twins have Taurus in their charts, often in Venus or Mercury, so the power of the bull is not something wholly unfamiliar to certain Gems. This year, the Bull brings grounded, stable and earthy energy, especially as it relates to the deepest recesses of your psyche. Gem, you’ll have a lot to get off your chest and the middle of the month sees you freeing yourself of baggage and clutter, but for you it’s words first, then action. You hit the ground running in May with Mercury squarely in your sign at 0 degrees. Your mind is humming and your thoughts are like pin point lasers, cutting, exacting, sharp. You’re in element, the leader of the band and then wham! On the 7th, Mercury, your ruler, in your sign, goes backwards, causing all sorts of screwy things to happen. The first might manifest in self-doubt, or at the very least, second guessing yourself. This may or may not be a bad thing, if you have recently taken on something that’s slightly over your head. You need confidence, but you also need some objectivity.

Think of this Mercury Retrograde as a safeguard from flying too high, too fast. With both Venus and Mars in Aries, you’ll need something to keep you grounded and believe it or not, MR might just be the answer. This tethering effect will ensure that you are engaged in the realm of human affairs, while still allowing you to sharpen, revise, revisit and reintegrate your ideas. But like most signs, I would advise you to get as much heavy lifting out of the way before the 7th and after that it’s all about fine tuning. That will change on the 31st (Walt Whitman’s birthday) and then you’ll be off and running again and by the middle of June, you’ll have another, visionary period where you can take your projects, thoughts and ideas to a new level. Until then, get out, be social, mix it up, make new connections, renew your commitment to make the world a better place for yourself and others. You would love Libras even more if they got their way more often. Well, I hate to tell you this, but even when Libras doesn’t look like they’re getting their way…trust me…they are. They just go about it in a way that deeply camouflages their true intentions. On this Libra full-moon affecting the realm of the heart, you need to use those profound skills of communication to expand the level of feeling between you and your most significant other. The key here is for you to get deeply into the other’s emotional experience from the perspective of it being your own. Don’t worry about losing yourself, since you always have a scintilla of detachment held in reserve. But the ultimate observer in you might be deeply moved by the level of concordant feeling you experience, once you’re able to let go of your analytical experience.

Do your best to FEEL the other and then deepen the dialog to find a common ground that will take you to the center of your heart.

Things are moving fast, almost too fast for you. Can you keep up? Would you want it any other way? When I look at April for you, I see the “Eight Of Wands” sitting directly on top of “The Chariot” from the tarot. Both cards represent movement, but with the eight of wands, it’s incredibly fast; transformation is happening at warp speed. Hang in there for a while, because once you get used to the velocity, you’ll be able to cover more ground in the next two months than you have in maybe the last two years.

If you want sweeping change in your life, then put the pedal to the metal after the 25th and hold on. The only real danger that I foresee for you is getting to used to speed of change and either not paying enough attention to those around or even worse, getting hooked on the intensity of the experience and thus yearning for change, just for the sake of change. But if you can roll with it and then step off the gas come June, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ve shifted the day-to-day reality in your life.

Venus goes backward and retreats into your house of career, where if you suffered some sort of falling out or fall from grace back in January, now is a time where some real healing can occur and your reputation can be restored. These opportunities don’t happen very often, so if someone extends an olive branch in your direction at work, take without hesitation. Despite the fact that we have twisted and contorted gender roles and rules almost beyond recognition, there are still very deep and primal biological urges that in spite of massive amounts of social conditioning and engineering drive our lives in irrational ways, especially as they are pared with crazy new paradigms. With child or without, take yourself off the hook. Know that you are doing the very best you can and save just a little space to examine how you could be doing it slightly better. If you are struggling with not having a child in your life, simply surrender to the wisdom of your higher self and know that if the time is right, it will happen…or it won’t.

Like Virgo, March isn’t your strongest of months, but lucky for you there’s still enough of that radical and free Aquarian energy to keep you more than curious and occupied, especially during the first part of the month, when you get to see the world through Sagittarius eyes. But all of 2009 is a wonderful opportunity for you to really take your brain to another mental level.

However, March might be your most insecure month of the year when it comes to your career. It’s unsteady for a lot of folks, but your antennae is picking up on some serious vibrations. Your challenge is to separate the real from the imagined. It’s also not clear who you can trust, especially mid-month when the picture gets even cloudier. Think of the tarot card The Moon and its attendant meaning, moving through shadows, reflections and the pale illumination of a lesser light. This is where it could get tricky for you by either knowing too much or not enough when it comes to the company you keep. For entrepreneurial Twins, this can be a truly challenging time, especially if you have no clear cut partner, in which case I would advise you to court the wisdom of the ages and invoke the wise dominion of the great, universal consultant of all things. By the end of the month, you’ll have all the info you need to make clear and concise moves. Once you do, don’t look back.

While Taurus’ challenges stem from the home front, your biggest point of transformation during this eclipse has to do with your own kin, brothers and sisters of the blood variety, but also in some cases, those that you would have as your own kin, but necessarily from the same family. This eclipse triggers what you did or did not get when you were younger, especially as it relates to what your siblings “did” get. There’s a feeling permeating that will soon begin to permeate throughout the culture very soon and that felling is one of being left out and deserted. Whether it relates to feeling as though one has been left out or behind when it comes to the overall financial picture or left behind by leadership, it is the first step towards collective blame and finger pointing. Let’s just say that for the next 48 hours, you are on the cutting edge of those feelings, but for you, it really emanates from your past. I’m sure that there’s a blog post, journal entry, novella, or at the very least a long talk over a couple bottles of wine that will let you uncork some of those feelings and realize the gifts you did get, still have and probably could be using a little more.

One of the things that I have recently discovered about Gemini’s is how detail oriented they are. They’re truly amazing in their ability to cast their attention wide and far, having interests that range from speaking multiple languages to making vegan cream puffs, while re-building a Chrysler Hemi yet, they don’t always have the capacity to see the big picture and together it’s component parts. Well, that was until this month. Can you say, “vision?” Wow. Get thee to the highest mountain or metaphorically peak experience and drink in the totality of what your higher mind can then dispatch to the rest your subtle and not-so-subtle bodies.

If you can’t get the top of the mountain, or attain some level of accelerated state, then be prepared to be the master problem solver for just about anyone or any situation in your life. Don the robes of the guru for the next thirty days and be amazed by your enlightening perspectives. However, don’t feel like this can be a purely secular exercise in sharing knowledge. Oh no–you don’t get off that easy. It’s time to deal with your issues around God, The Universe, Space Commander Yaweh, you name it, once and for all. Coming to grips with the fact that you are God and you are not is one of the great koans of all time for the schizo twins. You’ll be able to wrap your head around that one like a serpent who considers herself wise. In addition to all of the cosmic epiphanies that are flooding your brain, that best friend of yours, you know the one that you can talk to soooooo easily, just got a lot hotter than you can ever remember them being.

Let’s just say that you are not the only freaked out around money these days. If you ever wanted to go back to school and get a degree or finish one, 2009 is your time. With Jupiter hanging in your house of higher consciousness and higher learning, it’s like someone just added a super intelligent chip to your hard drive. You have more storage, can operate faster and perform complex functions with greater ease than ever before. Your mind is expanding exponentially and if you wanted to go back to school or receive some formal training, you can finish it in half the time. Your powers of cognition are heightened and you will amaze the rest of us with dazzling mental acrobatics. But as I mentioned above, do not take this energy and opportunity for granted. Both you and Sag are noted for not finishing projects either because you have too many or run off and start a new one before you finished the last? Wouldn’t it have been nice to fully learn Mandarin before your decided to study acupuncture while taking lessons in preparing raw foods? You get my drift.

Start and finish whatever undertakings you have this year when it comes to broadening the horizons of your mind. Soak up as much new info and data as you can while your brain is turned on. For six weeks, mid July, though August, this energy that I am referring to will be cranked up to eleven, as Mars will be in your sign during that time. It will be a powerful period where you will need little sleep and get an immense amount done. In fact, if you are planning to re-engage academia or pursue some form of education, make sure you are completely finished by August, because those six weeks are your peak and the energy will drop off considerably until October, where you’ll get another blast, but it will be mostly in the service of connecting with another, since you will have spent most of 2009 connecting with yourself through your mind.

Back in my punk rock days, I used to listen to music on a quirky little label called, “Stiff Records.” It was originally home to Elvis Costello and featured the likes of Nick Lowe, Ian Drury and a precocious sixteen-year-old from Ohio named Rachel Sweet. She had a minor FM hit called, “Who Killed The Cuckoo Clock?” It was fun, quirky, cute and deliciously hooky, especially since the Lolita-like-Sweet was doing the chirping. Sweet, the song, the whole package is your message for this month. You are maddeningly magnetic, but in relationships, I’m stressing the maddeningly part. With heavyweight Sun and Mars in your seventh house there’s a lot of coming to Jesus taking place and it’s enough to drive you or your partner insane. Take Sweet’s advice and take a hammer to the cuckoo clock. Get the madness out and be willing to deal with the after-effects of all of your incomprehensible and in some ways, undefendable behavior in the days and weeks to come. This is usually the time of year where you drink too much hard punch at the office Christmas party (oops holiday party) and wind up under a desk with that very cute, but not-so-bright kid from accounting. When the energy of Mars and The Sun in Sag sit in your house of relationships, you’re game. Sag is the allure, the promise, the distraction, the chance to act out through your other self. The good boy and good girl sits back and watches in amazement at the entangling web you’re weaving around you. No one ever said that you were boring or lacked any sort of drama in your life. But serious issues arise out of such seemingly innocuous flirtations liaisons, where mind blowing truths about how you are, who you are and what you are in relationship are revealed. What starts out like fun, a whim, turns into a much more serious turn-of-events and allows you to have a much deeper insight into your actions the effects they have on others. As the sign that is perhaps most driven by psychic forces unaware to them (even when you think you are) this full moon adds greater depth and intensity than your occasional flights into the nether regions of your psyche.
