Libra June 2009 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

Literary driven Libs will find this moon to be a marvelous source of inspiration — a shining muse in the sky. Pay attention to it and don’t waste a wonderful opportunity to craft a plot treatment, outline for a novel, short story or at the very least, some saucy journaling. Getting out and about is also in your stars. Hit the local farmer’s market, get some delicious veggies, but more importantly, sit back and observe the people and the stories that they wear. Take notes and fill in the blanks with your imagination. You’d be surprised by how close you might come to the truth.

Libra June 2009 Astrological Forecast

You and Gemini are soulmates of sorts. You both need the other in order to work out who you are in the world. But unlike Gemini, the relationship for you is one where the other has something you don’t or completes you in some way that you think you aren’t complete about. Gemini needs the other for a mirror, not really for the missing piece of the puzzle. There’s something in this dynamic that you can learn a lot from right now. Relationships in your life can be a significant reflection of who you are and what you’re trying to accomplish with your life. You may not like what you see, you may be thrilled, or a combination of both, but the very best thing that you could right now is not take this personally. Observe the image in the mirror, study it, see how it feels and observe it from a higher perspective. Once you do, you are encouraged to go deeper with the reflection.

For many Libras this month, the earthy energy of Taurus in Venus and Mars gets them into their bodies. Libra is sensual, while Taurus is sensuous. Libra can concoct the most elaborate flesh and fantasy is their heads and keep it there. Not this month. Remember, how Narcissus fell in love with his reflection? The same could be said for you this month, but it’s much more real than a shimmering image upon a shining lake staring back at you in rippling fascination. The Aquarian conspiracy in your house of amore is also sending skyrockets of bliss into your brain on a semi-frequent basis, adding another level of magic and madness to your ongoing process of self-discovery through the other.

Libra May 2009 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

What do you value? What has importance and meaning in your life? Are you more concerned about immediate gratification or letting your emotions, experiences and good wine get better with age? This a critical question during this eventful moon cycle, because if you pay close enough attention, you can re-write your story around money, value, and self-worth. The key for you is legacy. Not just in terms of what someone left you, but what you will leave this world. If you died tomorrow, how would you be remembered? Would you be satisfied with what you did here? If the answer does not match your standards, then this is the time to do something about it. Re-write your legacy and get serious about why you’re here. Commit. If you can do this, then your relationship with value, money and self worth will take serious turn for the better.

Libra May 2009 Astrological Forecast

Your diplomatic skills in your most intimate relationships are being put to the test. You’re not one to give up, quit or throw in the towel when it comes to people you really love, but right now, many Libras are in a fight for their emotional lives with their lovers. What makes this period more challenging than others is the on/off, hot/cold, love/hate energy that’s running straight down the center of your heart. Think hot, make-up, sex, arguments, anger, frustration, etc. That’s what you’ve got going. It’s dramatic to say the least and while it makes you feel alive, it’s also hard on your nerves and we all know how much Libra likes peace and harmony.

What this period is really about is your ability to find balance in your self, not change others or feel like they have to give you more or less of what you think you need in order to feel seen, heard, wanted, recognized. We all need these things in order to have a sense that we’re alive on this planet, but for you, it’s crucial. Much of this a backlog, of you doing things for others, mediating and finding win wins whenever you can and what this energy is causing you to do is be a little, no, make that a lot more selfish than you like to see yourself.

Get clear now about who you want to party with, because during this time next month, you’ll want to roll in the hay, versus trying to find grass that’s greener. Mercury Retrograde is going to help you get clear about the big picture in your life. You might have to suffer an invalidation of a truth or two that you once held dear, but in the long run, you’ll be better off and wiser as a result.

Libra April 2009 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

The power of the moon is with you. You are as sweet, diplomatic and magnetic as hell. And speaking of hell…the most superficial rendering of the devil is one that’s cloven-hoofed, horned and smells like a cross between a salt-lick, wet leather, and cured garlic. But that would be too cliche. No, devilish qualities can appear in even the most innocuous of souls…and even though you may not have one evil or sinful thought coursing through your body…you need to accept your devilish side. It’s the power that this moon transmits through you. You’re irresistible and very few people can say “no” to almost any request you have. It’s like if a genie granted you three wishes and two were already used…what would you order up for the last and most important request?

Libra April 2009 Astrological Forecast

Cue Michael Butler: “Let’s get ready to rummmmmmmmmmmmble.” With that command, you are now in the iron cage match of the zodiac, where you are forced to deal with conflict in relationship and this conflict in yourself and since you are usually adverse to conflict and confrontation, this can be a tricky time for you when you might over-capitulate, just to play nice and get along…or you might assume that the best defense is a good offense and take on all comers with hardly any provocation.

You’re on the quest for balance in this lifetime and achieving it is no easy feat, especially now, when Aries is goading you to act out of character or become a caricature of your normal, zen-like self. So what to do? Ride the tiger, of course. I have three exercises for you to consider this month, exercises that I think will help you deal with the overabundance of yang in your life in a positive fashion.

Here’s exercise number one: Do not hesitate to speak your mind in public, if you sense something is wrong or unjust. Let’s say the bagger or the checkout clerk at the grocery store is talking with someone other than the person ahead of you and it’s clear that their conversation is slowing down the purchase of goods. Say something. Risk being a jerk, but do it politely, of course.

Exercise number two: If you get into a road rage incident or someone cuts you off this month, do not, I repeat, do not escalate it. Bless them and give them the sign of the cross.

Exercise number three: Watch American Idol and love Simon Cowell unconditionally. Bet you didn’t know that nasty old Simon is a Libra. He should be your patron saint when it comes to Libra’s speaking their minds and living their truths. Then apply these lessons as quickly as you can to your relationships. When it comes to Venus, she’s resting deep in your psyche. Let your dreams heal the schisms in your soul.

Your Kosmic hero this month? The Incredible Hulk.

Libra March 2009 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

Talk about getting blind sided! You’re walking along, doing your best to stop and smell the roses or icicles, depending on which part of the country you’re in, while the economy goes down the disposal and all of a sudden people you though were close to you start betraying your trust and confidence in them. The most frustrating part of this is that it is not direct. It comes at your through hearsay, third parties, veiled innuendo. It reminds me of that line from The Pet Shop Boys/Dusty Springfield song, “What did I do to deserve this?” Well, since friends and relationships are so important to you, view this as an opportunity to weed out those noxious types that take up more space than they give, are prickly to the touch and should have been uprooted long ago. Just make sure you get your info right. Take out a spade, dig around and then don’t stop digging until the taproot is fully dislodged from your personal Earth.

Libra March 2009 Astrological Forecast

There’s no other sign that loves to relate about loving the way that you do and this month, you’ll have ample opportunity to explore the contours of relating. So much in fact, that the usually obsessive quality that you have around this might actually go away for a while. I used to have a lover with Mars in Libra and being with her was like one, long, EST seminar as we processed our feelings, shortcomings, shadows, misgivings, upbringings, uprootings and upper rooms so much that we wrenched almost all of the joy out of being with one another. In the end, I couldn’t wait to leave the relationship and yet there was this perverse intimacy that we had created by barring, burning and learning from one another’s souls.

I wouldn’t recommend it to just anyone, except you, right about now. In fact, it’s quite unavoidable, so you might as well just jump right in. Make sure that you have some copies of “He,” “She,” and “We” by the great Jungian therapist, Robert Johnson. Throw in some Wayne Dyer DVD’s, get out some Arthur Janov and a little Rumi to take the edge off and process ’till your so processed-out that you are weary and defenseless.

It’s at that point that you’ll be able to confront the insidious controller that masquerades as an internal guide to better relating and true balance. Stare that little Napoleon down and politely (you are a Libra) tell him his services are no longer needed for the immediate future and if and when they are, you’ll give him a call, but you’re the one that’s calling the shots and developing deep dialogs versus investigations and inquisitions of the heart.

Libra February 2009 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

Sometimes we find friends in the most unlikely of places. Such will be your experience from now until Wednesday. You may be at a seminar or a meeting with a new client or an AA meeting or being taken by a friend to a “Most Holy Royal Illuminated Rose Bearing Crossworld Puzzlers Society” meet and greet and find your exact double. While that seems like a wonderful occurrence, sometimes meeting ourselves in another can be positively unnerving. I guarantee you that the universe won’t implode if you somehow manage to shake hands or hug, but it might just shudder a little as you gain insight into yourself in ways that only such an encounter with a doppleganger can incur. If you find that what you’re seeing is just a little unpleasant and you can’t wait for whatever social situation you’re in to end, take some mental notes for later and just simply…surrender.

Libra February 2009 Astrological Forecast

Somewhere between Tristan and Isolde and Joshua and Tanya Lee, the cloyingly perfect boho love story from eHarmony, we somehow thought that love makes sense. Well, I hate to say it, but it doesn’t. If anything, love makes very little sense at all. Sometimes it’s just a series of rationalizations that self-assemble around hormones, neuro-receptor sites and neuro-peptides, while at others it is an inexplicable and ineffable knowing that you have just encountered another part of yourself that takes you deeper into the mystery of being than anyone might have ever imagined.

In my own life, it reminds me of a time when I was living in Olympia, Washington and had a brief fling with a waitress who worked at the same restaurant that I did. She was a mother of two boys that lived in a small logging town called, “Tenino” and she loved to line dance to Alan Jackson. I couldn’t think of anyone less similar to me and yet, when we were together, in the deepest parts of our connecting, she set my heart ablaze with unexpected and unexplained love and joy. It was nearly too much for my rational mind to understand. Like most people who have not learned to surrender to the experience of a love that doesn’t look the way it should, I ran the other way. Libra, this month, for you, I would highly recommend that you hold your ground and follow the bliss no matter what it looks like or where it takes you. The way to tell if it is simply a flush of Dopamine or some other deeper channel, is if you are not caught up in the rush. The less it makes sense, the more right it is.

Libra January 2009 Astrological Forecast

You’re oh so fortunate that this full moon falls on a weekend, because the amount of sheer insanity that you would have to put up with at work would tax even the most diplomatic of Libras. That doesn’t mean that you are immune from all nutty contact though. There is this thing called “email” and cell phones, and IM and Facebook. You get my drift. You are the ultimate counselor, mediator and in most cases friend and your zen-like, diplomatic, psychology is in high demand this weekend from co-workers getting the boot, or freaked out that they will. This is why you’re here in some ways, to learn through others, so don’t be too harsh if after hours demands are placed on you time, but make sure that you save some precious time for yourself, since you might have to stare down the exact same dilemmas others are having to deal with.

Libra January 2009 Astrological Forecast

You’ve always appreciated art, but this year, you do more than just appreciate. In 2009, you get to become or refine your art and take it to the next level.Jupiter in Aquarius broadens the artistic canvas of your life. You look at life through a creative and artistic prism. Not content to merely experience art in its limited definition–everything is art, including the most important area of your life…relationships. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to re-create your relationships by injecting a passionate spirit. Break out the body paints, erotic photography and sensual sonnets, let your heart and mind co-mingle and do what? Create.

In addition to more traditional forms of creativity, this is a great year for you to explore cutting edge technologies in which to express yourself. Everything from digital video and animation to sculpting with light and sound, all fall within the rubric of your personal, artistic renaissance in 2009. Make hay while the sun shines though, because in 2010, Saturn sidles up to you in your sign and will demand that you get serious about all this art and relationship stuff. You’ll be asked to make it all real and god forbid, actually have to choose one thing over another. But until then, experiment, play, create and do it with vigor. January and February look to be two of the more memorable months for you in quite some time and your creativity will be flowing in full effect, straight out of the gate.

This upcoming Mercury retrograde looks large though when it comes to your home and things that are needed to get done, have been needed to get done for quite sometime. So whether it’s a will you need to write or a well you need to dig, lay the groundwork during the end of January and the beginning of February and in the middle of February, get it done and don’t skimp. Get the best and most qualified help you can.

Your peak months for 2009 include: January, February, March, June, July, August, September and October.

Libra December 2008 Full Moon Astrology Forecast

Of all the signs, you have the best celestial position over the weekend. Supported by the dynamic series of sextiles and trines in Sag, Gemini, and Aquarius, you are electric! Who needs x-mas lights? Just stand on your front lawn beneath luminosity of the full moon and you’ll reflect it’s radiance in full. Better yet, get out of the city where the light of the moon is diminished by lesser lights. Place yourself in zones of timelessness where the ancient energy of this moon can literally speak to you. But in typical Libra fashion, bring someone else along to witness the nocturnal magic that is in the air for you and serve as a reminder for your future memory.

Libra December 2008 Astrological Forecast

Much like Virgo, this can be a challenging time for you when it comes to the holiday, however, your journey right now is about how you relate to siblings, your best and worst friends. This a great time for you to clear the air with them, an annual truth telling of sorts–but be open to the same kind of input coming from the other direction. It can be an amazing time for getting together and burying the hatchet so-to-speak. Quantum healing is available to you if you reach out and allow it take place in the hearts and minds you grew up with. Venus moves into Aquarius mid-month and the affection connection is on. All sorts of unconventional opportunities present themselves to you. It reminds me of that Stephen Stills, song, “If you can’t find someone to love, love the one your with.” You have the ability in the weeks ahead to recognize that love doesn’t always have the picture perfect, figure, face or race. If you are brave enough to explore the socially taboo, you might find that soul mates might look a lot different than you thought they would. Capricorn’s heavy hand lends a voice of judgment to the entire proceedings. Now what good would a walk on the wild side be if you didn’t have that nagging voice of S.H.O.U.L.D. (Stop Having Old Useless Logical Data) yammering at you from a distance.

Libra November 2008 Full Moon Astrological Forecast

You and Taurus have an interesting relationship, like bothers and sisters, sloppy and neat. While you are no Felix Unger, you enjoy order, balance and symmetry. One room in your house could be an utter disaster, while the rest of your house is moderately neat and that’s enough for you. In some weird way, this achieves a certain balance for you. However, when the moon is full in Taurus, you are much more inclined to mess up the entire house for a few days just to get it out of your system and swing the pendulum back into balance by cleaning and purging on the other side of getting sloppy. This is one dynamic in play over the course of the full moon—call it a calculated indulgence. But it’s all part of your master plan to achieve balance and order at a deeper level in your life.

However, that said, you cannot take the same lassez-faire approach to your finances. You have to get very, very real in that aspect of your life, especially now. I would urge you to look to the future and ask yourself, if the current financial paradigm is not going to last, how will I survive in the years to come, especially in my advancing age? The full mo moon will provide some clues if you are willing to listen.

Libra November 2008 Astrological Forecast

Okay Libra, the party is officially over now. But looking back on October, was there ever really a party? As the markets tumbled and the dollar fell, people around you needed help, support and comfort and of course you were there–you’re always there to balance the fears and needs of others. It’s why you’re here on some level and then it ll becomes too much so the pendulum swings and it’s all about you for however long it takes for you to get square with yourself and the moment of balance arrives and you are the again for your brothers and sisters in need. October is usually your month, your star turn, you shine, you receive. But that pesky little economy and those boring debates just made for a rather glum month didn’t it? Well, I wish that I could tell you that November is going to be better–I honestly cannot. December holds much more promise. However, there are some sparks.

Venus and Mars are dancing off and on in your house of communication and short trips. Getting out and about in November is highly advised–it will keep you spirits up–but use extreme caution on the roads. Now the heavy stuff (thought you’d get out of this one didn’t you?). You really need to pay attention to you health and well being, in fact I would highly suggest you go on some form of cleanse and detox program. The energy of Scorpio is highly supportive, but not only that, the connection to you mind and body needs to be enhanced and strengthened. You need to get very clear about who you want to be and how you want to use your precious energy in service of others. Your soul is crying out for your attention and your body is the transceiver. Pluto will literally be moving in with you for the next 16 years, so either A) really like where you live or B) get ready to trade up at any or all cost because you’ll need to make stand wherever it is that you call home.

Libra October 2008 Full Moon Forecast

While the birthday party is still going strong, The Aries Full Moon, is flashing red alert in your house of one-on-one relationships. That big red light is a stop sign, urging you to take stock of what’s happening for you with partners in your life. It’s important that you not move quickly to either exit or enter any new or pre-existing relationships. Just take an inventory of what’s working and what’s not. When Mercury gets back up to speed in two weeks, you’ll be much better prepared for any changes you want to implement. Pay close attention to your hunches, dreams and visions, especially as they relate to your partners. Go slow for now though and don’t cave in to your desire to be wanted or please. You’ll thank yourself in the not-too-distant future.

Libra October 2008 Astrological Forecast

Happy Birthday! Everyone loves, loves, loves Libra, golden child of Venus. But your celebration has been going on for at least a month already, since Mercury, Venus and Mars have all been in your sign throughout September. But now the fun really begins. Take time out from the champagne and cake to have a sober moment of reflection as you are the peacekeeper of the zodiac and we need your calm and balanced energies now, more than ever. While it’s tempting to take a few days off, your ability to bring all situations into accord is critical. On an energetic level, your role is to let others gracefully enter the freeway in front of you, open doors for a stranger, buy a homeless person a bountiful lunch, offer a timely compliment and just be the beautiful magician of the moment that you know how to be. Mars enters into your second house and gives you extra motivation to get your house in order. Find ways to trade up in all areas in your life. That might be the greatest gift you can give yourself this month.

Libra September 2008 Full Moon Forecast

Your share a unique kinship with Pisces. Prior to Neptune being discovered, Venus was the esoteric ruler of Pisces, so somewhere in the celestial DNA, you two are connected. The Pisces full moon illuminates what you need to eliminate. Stay away from booze and rich foods for the next couple of days. With that mighty stellium in your very own sign, you don’t need anything to be noticed. You’re the start of the stars right now and you can afford to take care of yourself. In fact, it’s critical, as your vitality will be amplified for al to see. Stay clear and stay clean. How much radiance can you handle?

Libra September 2008 Astrological Forecast

Oh happy day. It’s not often when a sign can party down for almost two months straight and yet, that’s what’s in store for you until late October. In early September you are dazzling and magnetic, irresistible and enchanting. Take advantage of this excess charisma and do your best to up your profile, invest in some new threads, hit the salon for a fresh coif, take your presentation to a whole new level and you’ll be treated like the rock star that you are. Now if you could somehow parlay all of that attention into the working of miracles and magic for the benefit of others, all the better, because deep down inside, you are wrestling with questions around superficiality and artificiality, a lovely dynamic/dilemma to have while your are the graced progeny of lovely Venus. Indulge in style by night and save a few souls by day. You’ll be glad you did.

Libra August 2008 Full Moon Update

Libra: Time to get your freak on. The Aquarian full moon will lead you to places that are shall we say, a little off the beaten path. Don’t be afraid of meeting others that are quite different than the normal crowd you usually associate with, in fact it’s encouraged. This full moon offers you the opportunity to understand the meaning of “stranger” in more ways than one. Don’t be overly concerned about going over the edge. With the Virgo activity churning in your twelfth house, you’ll have plenty of conscience to spare, but you’ll be as equally restless, which will move you to move. Go to a concert or gallery opening where you rub elbows with the avant-garde, there is a very good chance that you’ll meet like minded-soul, even if they are very different from you and your expectations.

Libra August 2008 Astrological Forecast

You’re the social butterfly of the cosmos and never more so than in early August. While you never met a party you didn’t like and God forbid I should tell you what to do, I would lovingly suggest that you raise the level of your socializing and rub elbows with groups and foundations that truly matter and mean something to you. That doesn’t mean that you have to choose the local Obama chapter meeting over your best friends bachelorette party, because you might be doing the world a greater good by experiencing the intimacy of joy…but there can be long term effects from who you party with. This is especially true on the first during the solar eclipse when the company you share takes on a fated quality and within the intensity of connecting, you just might find someone very, very special. Mid-month when the energy flows into Virgo, even the most flighty Libs will feel the imperative to get their house in order, both physically and spiritually, but until then, wooooohoooooo!

Libra July 2008 Full Moon Update

Saturn, Capricorns ruling planet is exalted in Libra. There’s something about relating, which Libra loves to do and the long Saturn cycles that favor commitment and loyalty in relationships. It’s where most of us do our most intense learning and growing and Saturn/Cap supports it. That said, this full moon falls in your house of family and with Mercury already resting there you have the opportunity to really dig in this weekend for some overdue relating with your parents, especially your mom, of perhaps a father that was like a mom in your life. Tune in and listen to the words behind the words when relating to them this weekend, it’s not what they’re saying but what they are trying to say. Your job is to bring it out and let them be heard in a way that makes the dialog easier and richer for all involved. Practice a little patience, add some intuition and be prepared to receive some wonderful and timely pearls of wisdom.

Libra July 2008 Astrological Forecast

All artistically inclined Libras would do well to get their works out into the world for all to see in July. This is a fantastic time to network, as you’ll have a very receptive audience for most of the month. The new moon is also excellent for visualizing about where you want to go with your creative abilities and then journaling about how to get there. The Cancer new moon is great for planting and for you it’s all about you art and it’s admirers. Mars however contributes lots of nervous energy throughout July and most likely, you will find it hard to sleep much. You can use it to your advantage if you aren’t adverse to being a night owl and getting a lot done while others dream. In fact it’s a great time to work on making your own dreams come true. When Venus enters Leo later in the month, be prepared to mix and mingle with the avant-garde and edgy art scene. July is all about the art of creation and exploration, go out make something happen.

Libra June 2008 Full Moon Update

The normally placating diplomat of the cosmos takes the full moon off to become the statesman with bold declarations of truth and freedom. You’re tired of sugarcoating and finding win-wins for everyone. No, you’re ready to let it loose and speak your mind regardless of the implications. This is incredibly liberating for you to actually take a position and proclaim it as loudly as such, but you also have to know your audience just a tad. Go ahead, roll the dice, get it off your chest, let the chips fall as they may and all of those other clichés just get ready to answer hard questions from people that “thought” they knew you.
