I think it’s right time that you took some time out from your quest for world domination. Yes, the seventy-story-mountain will still be there in July, where you will no doubt take up your challenge once again. But for now, I would do my very best to spend as much time around children and the sweetest things in life. Your innocence is calling from your past and you’d be a much better person if you simply listen. This is a delicate stage, where Spring is threatening with full bloom and Summer’s ripeness begins its journey towards fulfillment in the Fall. The Gemini Sun and Mercury makes you very curious about what makes you tick and while you’re romping in the fields of innocence, you’re also on a mission to get a deeper understanding about what motivates you and others to be who they are. They say that “with power comes responsibility” and in your case, this full moon cycle will bear that out in great detail. You will be given immediate feedback in your life as you deal with people on a moment-to-moment basis. Are you building them up or tearing them down? Are you empowering or dis-empowering? If it’s the latter, then why? What do you have to gain by always establishing your place at the top of the inter-personal hierarchy whenever given the chance? There is a strong possibility that you will get knocked down a peg or two if you overtly or covertly try that type of power play. If you do get called on it or it does backfire on you, consider it a blessing. If you are able to read these words and they mean something to you, then I would suggest you exalt your fellow man and woman. Lift them up to the places that you dwell and honor their existence and contribution in your life. You’ll be nothing short of amazed by what comes back to you as a result.

If you are involved in any type of real estate transactions, business, etc, get whatever you need to get done in the next six days, because after that, you’ll need to back off of any aggressive acquisition mode and it would behoove you to get more deeply into renovation and re-building versus expanding your empire. It’s also a very important phase for you when it comes to rediscovering your roots, for better or worse. Not many people I know have had a sweet ride with their upbringings, but there is almost some memory or ritual that you experienced around growing up that brought a smile to your face — perhaps it was an annual family picnic or a favorite ice cream shop or some sweet relative that saw you in a way that your immediate family could not.

The reason I bring this up is because you are likely in a very similar situation. What can you do that might seem mundane to shift the energy around your family and family life? You might be all business but for someone special out there, you’ll have a unique opportunity to really shift a static dynamic that reaches back into your upbringing. Healing is always an option. Come June, you’ll start to get very, very, serious when it comes to affairs of the heart. I rarely get into such a predictive state, but wedding bells, planned or unplanned could be ringing loud and clear in your life. If you can step outside of your goat-inspired climb up the mountain, you’ll be keenly aware of the fact that there are others following you up to the top. I have a good friend who is a Capricorn and who has gone completely dark on me. So I am doing my best not to take this personally and I am imagining what he’s doing and going through instead. Laid off last year, he has become obsessed with Twitter and I believe that he is quietly working on some form of media consulting, using Twitter as the tool for building massive relationships for his clients. Part of this is something I overheard through another friend, and part is something I am sensing and I believe that as a goat, he is not alone in this process.

I have visions of goats quietly working under the cover of night, growing empires while the rest of us sleep. I don’t think that this is very far from the truth as Pluto has them under its spell promising power, purpose and destiny. However, all Capricorns must deal with their mothers this month and not in the way Sag does, with lovely Venus in placid Pisces sounding the call to heal the animus. No, Capricorns must deal with mother as Kali in April…an oedipal affair gone very wrong. For goat gals, it’s the evil stepmother, the wicked witch of the west, the dark and unloving matron of the anti-goddess.

Before you can continue on your path toward world conquest and domination, you must first pay homage to her, then you must find the courage and the magic to either slay her forever or seduce her to the point where she melts back into the loving mom that hopefully, you once knew. If you don’t, she will eat you alive and spit out your bones. How are you going to rule the world as a skeleton? Don’t thinks so. Have courage and proceed with caution and love. The Venus retrograde shift to Pisces is asking you to bury the hatchet with anyone you’ve ever called brother or sister in this lifetime — blood related or not. All feuds eventually come to an end, and deeply forgiving Pisces will help you and anyone that is (or is like) a sibling to you get over the past and move forward. You’re pretty strong headed, so this tender aspect, which lasts from the 12th through the 24th, will help you dissolve into sweet forgiveness.

My favorite Capricorn of the moment is an under-appreciated quarterback in The NFL. His name is “Shaun Hill” and he plays for The San Francisco Forty-Niners. His resume reads like a survivors guide for playing in The NFL. He’s played for both The Vikings and his current team, as well as The Amsterdam Admirals of the now defunct NFL Europe. He’s not especially fast, but nimble and not slow for his position. He doesn’t have a great arm, but seems to make it work when it counts. He doesn’t come across as a savant, like Peyton Manning, but he’s smart enough to know when to get rid of the ball and to find the right receiver most of the time. By all accounts, Shaun Hill is at best an average NFL quarterback, but all he does is win. Whenever he has been pressed into service, the team plays better and if they don’t win, they are rarely out of any game. And yet, every season, there seems to be some sort of flirtation with some other player with a bigger arm, like the failed experiment with JT O’Sullivan and now The Niners semi-degrading flirtation with Kurt Warner of The Arizona Cardinals, who will likely re-sign with Arizona, leaving Hill like the girl that gets to go the prom because the other girl, you know the popular, pretty, sexy, perky one said, “no” as their best hope at quarterback.

The moral of the story is that Shaun Hill typifies the Capricornian spirit of tenacity and self-confidence in the face of continued mistrust and even betrayal while ultimately reaching the heights of their profession or trade. Let Hill be your sherpa right now as you adjust to the intensity of Pluto while Venus in your house of home and family makes things quite uneasy for you, shaking the very foundation of where you hang your hat. Exercise the patience of Shaun Hill and continue to believe in yourself, even when Mercury makes things a little fuzzy for you in the middle of the month. By the beginning of April, the haze will disappear and just like the Niners front office, people will come to their senses and recognize your true value and worth.

For secret control freaks like yourself, a lunar eclipse like this comes along to remind you that you are not in control, no matter what that bastard Pluto keeps whispering in your ear. This full moon/eclipse is calling you to let go of whatever you think brings you pleasure (or ecstasy) from sex, money or power.  If you cannot let go and surrender to the inherent beauty of being on the receiving end in situations where you tend to dominate, you will miss the power and beauty of this eclipse. You can get back to running (or ruining) the planet next week, but for now let go and let others be your guides when it comes to finding some form of fulfillment in the bedroom or on the trading floor. Through this power exchange, you’ll learn more than you ever thought you would and, hey, you just might enjoy it.

While the rest of us are dealing with this little thing called, “the financial crisis,” you’re getting ready to buy up all those cheap assets that are now hitting the marketplace, because unlike most of us, living off the drip line of easy credit, you’ve been saving, just a little short of hoarding. You did it because you had a sense that things were headed in this direction, but mostly, you did it because it’s your nature. Your planning, shrewdness and foresight have allowed you to take advantage of the marketplace, even in ways that you yourself are shockingly surprised at.

That said, you’re not completely out of the woods. You need to secure what you have AND (I know, it’s a big and) you need to figure out how that wealth and prosperity is going to serve others somewhere down the line. I’m not talking about a transfer of wealth and giving your mostly-hard-earned dollars away. No. You need to look at how you can increase your prosperity as well as the prosperity of those around and in the world at large. Can you afford to invest in green tech? Can you even start your own green tech based business? Can you find new and radical ways to capitalize income? This is your job and you need to take it very seriously or “the lord giveth and the lord taketh away” as they say.

This month will make you focus on that dynamic more than ever. Oh, and I would steer clear of any office tryst that might be in the making, unless of course you’re really okay with the rest of your workspace knowing, because it will be very hard to be discreet.

In the great run up to world domination and power, there will always be a few hiccups along the way and this weekend is just one of those times. A very good friend of mine is a Capricorn and in quick succession, he got laid off from a well paying job that he had been at for the last five years, and then went through a troubling emotional crisis with his mother, who is undergoing cancer therapy. I have another friend, Capricorn, who just lost his wife, a long suffering, semi-hermit with Hep C. She passed just after Pluto moved into Capricorn. She was a Cap as well. This is how Pluto works it’s magic. First it tears down and at times, even physically removes obstacles in ones life and then steadily builds them back up. I have no doubt that my friend will heal his relationship with his mother, find a more perfect job and build his life anew in structures that will last him deep into his life and my other friend will find the space in his life without his wife, liberating and allow him to take on new projects he had been holding back for quite sometime. That, again, is how Pluto works it’s magic. In the meantime, Jupiter is here to lend a helping hand to that process as it moves beneath the surface, rewiring the material/spiritual circuitry of all Capricorns. Jupiter is calling you to follow your dreams and move forward in confidence and that the universe will provide you with opportunities that a more aligned with your ultimate purpose. This Mercury retrograde may make you just slightly forgetful and gltichy. You might stumble and search for words and even stutter ever-so-slightly. How’s Pluto treating you? Now that the galactic, titanic shift of Pluto, from Sag into Cap is final, the clock is ticking on your personal transformation. Early Caps, late December should already be feeling these enormous energies. Pluto acts in two ways.
