The difficult part is sorting out the personal feelings associated with subjective inference. A little known factoid is that on the heels of “The Stimulus Package” there were ten states that were moving forward on declaring their sovereignty, led by New Hampshire. What’s fascinating about New Hampshire is that it was the first state to pull away from Great Britain in January of 1776 (Capricorn) and was admitted into the union on June 21st, 1788 as the ninth state. As such, it is a Cancer state and stands in direct opposition to the mega-force of Pluto in Capricorn that’s currently upon us, the tractor-beam of mono-culture and merging into some Borgian hive mind.

Yes, you, dear one, are the face leaning into the wind right now. I have met three Cancer women, all of whom are doing this in their own ways. One is battling the medical establishment that has more or less abandoned her; she’s doing it by healing a debilitating disease on her own. Another was thrust out of the warm and very cushy confines of corporate America to pursue an alternative lifestyle as an energy healer and astral guide instead of entering back into that messy, big money fray. Yet another has a textile company that is having to downsize amidst the economic contraction. The first thing that she did was take less money and move to a smaller apartment so that she could save a job or two while she figures out how to keep her business alive. All three are dealing with some form of “the machine” and doing their absolute best to remain human in the midst of the life compactor that is forcing all of us to re-define what feeds us and keeps us alive.

In my mind, these three women are heroes in their own way and there is something that you are going through that is essential for all of us to witness, especially as it relates to issues like liberty, freedom and the right to live your life the way that you want. Professional relationships open new doors as old ones close. Waste no time and step through when your heart, head and gut, all say, “yes.”

It’s not enough that you already have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Now, with this full moon eclipse, you see the impending financial crisis, up close and personal. It has a powerful resonance in your own life and, much like Gemini, who is already feeling the nervous anxiety of displaced opportunity, you too are feeling similar vibrations…but of a more discordant variety, especially as they relate to finances and your own security. Outside of maybe Taurus, I can’t think of another sign that values security more than The Crab and this full moon cycle, your sense of it is challenged. While I rarely dispense financial advice, I will make an exception, just for you: You need to purchase gold or silver and you need to do it this week, even if it is merely for symbolic reasons. There is something very empowering for you in this act. It’s a suitable bromide for your queazy disposition. Find a precious metals dealer get something valuable and sparkly. Let the sparkle spark you into a deeper relationship with timelessness and security.

When I think of Cancer these days, I can’t help but think of Kurt Warner of The Arizona Cardinals, whose Cancer Sun is at one degree, exactly opposite transiting Pluto in Capricorn. If you had watched The Super Bowl on Sunday, you would have witnessed the best and worst of Kurt Warner, bumbling and prone to making a critical error, to rising up and confronting his impending defeat by leading his team back into the lead, only to have victory, possibly The MVP and perhaps The Hall Of Fame, all snatched from him in a minute-and-a-half. Yet there he was on the sidelines; calm, poised, at peace knowing that despite his mistakes, he had done everything he could in order to win–the rest was in the hands of his defense, God and the referees. Even when the last play of the game for The Cardinals had ended in a somewhat dubious fashion, after a brief show of emotion, Warner moved onto the next moment, the next phase; the reconciliation.

In many, many ways, this is you right now, only you have at your disposal considerable depth and insight into your process and life in general. Warner specializes in going deep and this is what I would also encourage for you in February. Do not settle for outcomes that are topical, easy and superficial. Even when it seems like you’ve plumbed the depths of your dreams, nightmares and reveries, go deeper still. You don’t have to be Hamlet and bore everyone with your existential navel gazing, but, if done correctly and with dignity, you might just find that there is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel.
