Back in my punk rock days, I used to listen to music on a quirky little label called, “Stiff Records.” It was originally home to Elvis Costello and featured the likes of Nick Lowe, Ian Drury and a precocious sixteen-year-old from Ohio named Rachel Sweet. She had a minor FM hit called, “Who Killed The Cuckoo Clock?” It was fun, quirky, cute and deliciously hooky, especially since the Lolita-like-Sweet was doing the chirping. Sweet, the song, the whole package is your message for this month. You are maddeningly magnetic, but in relationships, I’m stressing the maddeningly part. With heavyweight Sun and Mars in your seventh house there’s a lot of coming to Jesus taking place and it’s enough to drive you or your partner insane. Take Sweet’s advice and take a hammer to the cuckoo clock. Get the madness out and be willing to deal with the after-effects of all of your incomprehensible and in some ways, undefendable behavior in the days and weeks to come. Consider it part of your yearly self-exorcism, but first let the devil come out and play.
