The final full moon of the summer is upon us on September 15. The dreamy, mystical and intoxicating Pisces Moon bathes us in the waters inspiration and illusion, guiding our dreamtime journeys with its pale luminescence. Pay very close attention, to dreams and visions over the next 48 hours as this moon has the power to inspire, enlighten and guide us in non-rational directions, understanding without knowing how, bringing the inexplicable to the fore. Along with it, come the intoxicating qualities of the full moon, great for poets, painters, writers and musicians, not so hot for people struggling with dependence issues. From a practical standpoint, that means buckle up and find a designated driver if you’re out and about in party mode. Pisces rules institutions like churches, asylums and jails.

Get the picture?

If I could order up a perfect Piscean Full Moon outing, it would look something like this: A midnight picnic beneath the stars, on a bluff overlooking the ocean, sipping almond tea, nibbling on figs, Nick Drake, playing soft and low in the background, melancholy and hope mingling with the sounds of the surf, softly breaking below.

Unfortunately, for a portion of the country located in the southern part of Texas, they won’t be able to be afforded that luxury, having been drenched by the angry tides and whipping winds of Ike. The Pisces Full Moon will activate the compassion of Americans, who will no doubt reach out to extend a hand to the victims of this epic storm.
